What is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a full body and mind experience where participants are bathed in sound waves produced by various instruments such as singing bowls. The vibrations can penetrate deeply into the body, helping to release tension, reduce stress, and promote healing on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level.

About the August Full Moon | Monday, August 19th, 2024 | 7:30 - 9:00 pm

The Sturgeon Moon is also known as the Flying Up Moon, a Cree term that refers to when young birds are ready to learn to fly. The name "sturgeon" comes from the giant fish that stirs up mud and silt on river and lake bottoms while searching for food. Some astrologers believe the Sturgeon Moon spiritually represents strength and resilience because it's named after one of the oldest fish species.

About the October Full Moon | Thursday, October 17th, 2024 | 7:30 - 9:00 pm

This full moon is also known as the Hunter's Moon, which may come from the idea that it was a signal for hunters to prepare for winter by hunting. Animals would be fattening up for the winter, and fields would have been cleared out by the Harvest Moon, making it easier to spot deer and other animals. Foxes and wolves would also be out hunting these animals. The Hunter's Moon was also a feast day for Native Americans and many Western Europeans.

About the November Full Moon | Friday, November 15th, 2024 | 7:30 - 9:00 pm

November’s Moon names highlight the actions of animals preparing for winter and the onset of the colder days ahead. Digging (or Scratching) Moon, a Tlingit name, evokes the image of animals foraging for fallen nuts and shoots of green foliage and bears digging their winter dens. The Dakota and Lakota term Deer Rutting Moon refers to the time when deer seek mates, and the Algonquin Whitefish Moon describes the spawning time for this fish.

About the seasonal change of November, this Moon has been called the Frost Moon by the Cree and Assiniboine peoples and the Freezing Moon by the Anishinaabe—for good reason, as winter is right around the corner!

About the December Full Moon | Sunday, December 15th, 2024 | 7:30 - 9:00 pm

The full moon in December is known as the Cold Moon, named of course for the temperatures in the northern hemisphere. Occurring near the winter solstice, the Cold Moon invites you to take a closer look at what lies beneath the seemingly cold and frozen surface. The nights are the longest of the year, so there is a potent opportunity to explore the shadows, the places within that often remain unexamined.
